Stanley P. Gorzney, 76, of Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his home in Moline.

In accordance with Stanley’s wishes, his family will host a Celebration of Life in his honor at a later date. Interment will be at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery, East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Stanley was born December 12, 1949, in Moline, Illinois, to Lyle “Spike” and Estaleane “Esty” (Adamson) Gorzney. He graduated from United Township High School, East Moline.

He was previously married to Theresa Reeves. They divorced, and he later married Rebecca “Becky” S. Sansale on February 29, 1996, in Rock Island, IL.

Stanley was a welder for many years for John Deere. He retired from John Deere PDC, Milan, IL, following 42 years of service.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Illini fan. Some of his favorite times were those spent with family and friends, and caring for his pet cats, “Maddey & Sadie”. He will be greatly missed by all.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 30 years, Rebecca “Becky”, of Moline; son, Brian Gorzney, Lee’s Summit, MO; daughter, Annie (Chad) Cox, Coal Valley, IL; grandchildren, Carson, Cameron, Elliott and Abram; sister, Linda (Ronald) Immesoete, Bettendorf; brother, Kevin Gorzney, Moline; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Estaleane.
