Stanley S. Symons , 82, of Port Byron, IL, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Kahl Home, Davenport, IA.

Graveside services with military honors will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5th, at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, with burial following. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m. Thursday prior to services at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.

Stanley was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from John Deere, Harvester Works.

He enjoyed going to church at First United Methodist Church, Port Byron, building wood models, and taking care of his pet dogs.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sonia Bohannon, Rock Island; grandchildren, Shane Bohannon and Patrick Bohannon, both of Rock Island; and sisters, Savannah Singleton, Pennsylvania, and Beverly Diltz, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susanne (Huntley) Symons and his son, Scott Symons.
