Funeral services for Stanley P. Wallace, 85, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2:00-4:30 PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., where a Liturgy Service will be held at 4:30PM. Mr. Wallace died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the Rev. John J. Dunne Memorial Endowment Fund. Mr. Wallace was born October 7, 1919 in Mapleton, IL, the son of Lee Roy and Agnes (McNeill) Wallace. He married Evonna Maes, July 31, 1949. He worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Rock Island, IL, for 20 years and 20 years for Schmeltzer Food Brokerage Inc., Bettendorf, IA. He retired in 1990.He was a charter member of Independent Sports Club and inducted twice into the Greater Peoria Area Sports Hall of Fame. He was a St. Louis Cardinal Fan and he loved to play golf. Stan never knew a stranger. Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Evonna Wallace of East Moline, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Kent Brown of Viera, FL, Diane and Ray Lowery of Edmond, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sue Wallace of Wichita, KS; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; half-sister, Collette Fahrig of Houston, TX.
