Stephen W. Parrott, 71, of Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at his home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at Elim Covenant Church, Moline. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Elim Covenant Church Youth Ministries.

Stephen was born February 1, 1951 in Moline, a son of David and Phyllis Parsons Parrott. He graduated from Moline High School, Class of 1969. Stephen and Sandra A. "Sandy" Crandall were united in marriage on February 7, 1969 in East Moline, IL.

He worked at Franks Foundry until their closure. He then worked for Two Rivers YMCA, Moline, until his retirement in 2017.

He was a member of Elim Covenant Church, Moline, where he had served in the church youth ministry. Steven enjoyed reading, caring for and spending time with his pet dogs and cat. Some of his favorite times were those spent with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he adored, and Sunday dinners together.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy, of Moline; sons, Jeffrey (Mary) Parrott, Colona and Joshua Parrott, East Moline; grandchildren, Ashley & David Parrott; brother, Douglas (Lori) Parrott, Moline; nieces, Erica and Katherine Parrott; and numerous cousins.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, James Parrott.
