Steven J. Larson, 68, of Moline, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026. Per his wishes cremation rites to be accorded and no services will be held. Van Hoe Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Steven was born on January 17, 1958, in Moline, the son of Harlan and Joan (Raymond) Larson. He worked as a welder for Parr Instrument Company and later at McLaughlins. He was an avid race fan, especially drag racing. Steven raced himself and later traveled to watch many races. He enjoyed NASCAR and going to the Milwaukee Mile Race.

Steven is survived by his mother, Joan Daniels; sister, Pamela (Paul) Rutzinski; step- brother, Patrick Daniels; step-sister, Lisa (Mike) Popelier; and his nieces and nephews, Erik Karlix, Michael Karlix, Kim (Richard) Place, Rylee Daniels, Tyler (Liz) Popelier, and Bryson Popelier. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Larson; step-father, Charles Daniels; and brother-in-law, Kris Karlix.
