Steven D. Ridenour, 53 year old father of two, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA. Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL, where he had been a member. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, where a Liturgy Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Memorials may be made to the family. Steve was born April 19, 1953 in Norman, OK the son of Charles and Wanda Jo (Brewster) Hayden. He married Rose Lopez July 17, 1976 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for John Deere Harvester East Moline. Steve had been an active member and past president of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 669. He loved to fish, play his music loud, enjoy a good meal, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children. Survivors include: daughter, Cassandra Ridenour of East Moline, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Heather Ridenour of East Moline, IL; mother, Wanda Hayden of Murfreesboro, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Albert Clayton of Shelbyville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Albert "Gene" and Janie Ridenour of Morris, IL; several nieces and nephews.
