Steven C. Van Winkle, 72, Moline, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. Private family committal will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery with military honors.

Steve was born on July 23, 1948 in Moline, the son of Clifton and Lorraine Van Winkle. He married Rebecca Maloney on August 23, 1971, together they had 2 children. He held various employment, mainly as warehouse foreman and purchasing agent. He enjoyed playing golf, pool leagues and hanging out at the barber shop. Steve served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his children, Jennie Mitchell, Moline and Clifton Van Winkle, Granite City, IL, grandsons, Jacob, James and Alex and a brother, Christopher Van Winkle, Moline.

Memorials may be made to the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Dau.
