Funeral services for Suzanne C. Gelande, 61, of DeWitt, IA, will be Saturday, 9:30AM at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline. Visitation will be today, Friday, 4-7PM. Suzanne died January 17,2007 at her home in DeWitt, IA. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association. Suzanne Leppo was born September 2, 1945 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Marilynne(Miller) and Joseph Leppo. Suzanne graduated from Villa de Chantel. She attended Marycrest College and received a scholarship to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Aurora IL, where she graduated with a nursing degree. She was employed at Moline Public Hospital and other Medical facilities in the area. She was very dedicated to her nursing career. Survivors include; daughters and sons in law; Tammie Duncan and James Scott of Moline and Marcie and Scott Faulkner of Bettendorf IA, and son, Jaret Gelande of Silvis, her mother Marilynne Leppo-Andon of East Moline, sister and brother in law; Holly and Gary Schneider of East Moline, brother and sister in law, Lanny and Cathy Leppo of Moline. Four Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her special friend Linda Lytle. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Leppo and her grandparents.
