Tena Ann Hess, 69, Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in East Moline. At Tena's request there will be no public services.

Tena Ann was born on August 5, 1952 in Berlin, WI, the daughter of August and Margaret (Graveen) Hess. She graduated from Berlin High School, class of 1970 and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh in 1974 with a degree in music. Tena worked as a professional flutist, from teaching to playing at Carnegie Hall. Ms. Hess was the feature flutist for the sound track of David Arkenstone's album In the "Wake of the Wind". Tena was a kind and gentle soul, who always wanted the best for others.

Survivors include siblings, Kim (Bill) Kempen, Oshkosh, WI, A. Dean (Wendi) Hess, Green Bay, WI and Marlene Abutin, Berlin, WI along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather; Margaret and Robert Labudd and father; August Hess.
