Terry Allen Anderson, 82, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at his home.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, 1500 6th Street, East Moline, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to QC Paws in Terry’s memory.

Terry was born in St. Charles, Missouri on May 16, 1944, to Kenneth A. and Corinne M. Anderson (Bloebaum). He played baseball, basketball, and football at United Township High School, and graduated in 1962. Terry proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves and received an honorable discharge.

Shortly after graduating from St. Ambrose University, Terry was hired on at the former International Harvester (IH) plant in East Moline. He would spend the next 37 years there until it closed in 2004, retiring as a business unit manager at CNH Global. As a committed member of the community, Terry was most proud of his longtime service at the Kiwanis Club, serving as president, as well as working as an organizer of the Silvis Country Music Festival.

Terry married Bonnie Lingner on October 19, 1968, and raised their son, Derek. He then married DeAnna DeBlieck on June 9, 2015.

Terry was passionate about baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinal’s. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico with Dee, family reunions back “home” in St. Louis, reading, and talking about cars. Above all, he cherished his time spent with family and friends, and there was a special place in his heart for his pets.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dee; son, Derek (Sophia) Anderson; granddaughters, Georgia and Zoe; step-daughters, Dede (Alan) Swatlowski, Jaclyn (Steve) Foley, and Lynette Decker; sisters, Cindy (Ron) May, Kristy (Tim) Holbrook, and Tou (Souk) Meksavanh; nephews, Tyson (Abby) and Ben (Cydney); nieces, Amanda (Eric), Briony (Michael), Alida, Carla, and Jennifer; step-grandchildren, Shaw, Cole, Rhett, Evan, Jenna (Dylan), Sydney, Shaina, Samantha (Dillon), and Jett; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and his cocker-spaniel, Lexi.

Terry was preceded by his parents, and beloved dogs, Rasta, Sassy, and Katie.
