Funeral services for Terry Murphy, 55, Moline, are 2PM Thursday at First Christian Church, East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is from 12 noon until service time. Terry passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Parkview Terrace, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Riverbend Food Bank. Terry was born on November 16, 1953 in Moline the son of Winnie and Don Murphy. He attended Moline Schools, enjoyed fishing, playing pool and was an avid baseball player and coach for the Dad's Club girls and boys teams. He had worked at Midwest Pocket Billiards for many years. He loved his family. Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law Jan Neels, Karen and Bob Bowling, Denise and Bill Coakley all of Moline and Char Murphy of East Moline, brothers and sisters-in-law Bill of Silvis, Gary and Sue of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Don and Mary of Moline, many nieces and nephews including his special great nephew Jaxen, and great friends; Jim "Ike" Isaacson, Darrell Beckett, Tom Morris, Don Lewis, Brian and Bub Sedan who will be his pallbearers. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister LaMayne Murphy. The family would like to thank Parkview for taking good care of their brother.
