Thomas Ray Carpentier, 32, of East Moline, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at his home. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 3 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Private family committal will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, Ill. Memorials may be made to an education fund for his son, Ethan. Tom was born April 23, 1979, in Moline, the son of Randy and Ketra (Moose) Carpentier. He was the office manager at Kar Klinic, Silvis, Ill. Tom had attended Black Hawk College and enjoyed camping and being with his friends. Survivors include his son, Ethan; his parents, Randy Carpentier and Ketra Carpentier, East Moline; brother, James Earl Carpentier, East Moline; sister, Raena Carpentier, Port Byron, Ill.; grandparents, Jim and Janet Moose, Cleveland, Ill., and Diane Phillips, Coal Valley, Ill.; and a step-grandfather, Frank Staton, East Moline.
