Thomas J. DeMarlie, 74, of Carbon Cliff, IL, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Genesis Silvis, IL. According to his wishes a Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5 pm Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Carbon Cliff.

Tom was born December 5, 1948, in Moline, IL, the son of Cyriel and Doris Axell DeMarlie. He married Rose (Zimmerman) Johnson May 4, 1991, in Colona, IL. He joined the Army Reserve 495th Battalion in 1965, where he served 6 years. He retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline, after 47 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and also belonged to the Milan American Legion where he served as a trustee. He was an avid Chicago Bears Fan and New York Yankees Fan. He enjoyed having beers at Charlie's Tap with his friends. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Rose; children, Jenni (Chad) Davis, Hampton, IL, and Mike (Tricia) DeMarlie, Port Byron, IL; grandchildren, Liberty, Ali, Kaylee, Parker, and Peyton; siblings, Jeff (Pam) DeMarlie, Milan, IL, Chris Grau, Coal Valley, IL, Dan (Diana) North Liberty, IA, Debbie DeMarlie, Silvis, and Jim (Tammy) DeMarlie, Colona; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Steve Grau.
