Thomas Medina Jr., 64, East Moline, died peacefully on June 11, 2012, surrounded by his family. Funeral services are 10 AM Friday at Fountain of Truth, Colona. Visitation is 3-7PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. Tom was born July 26, 1947 in Brownsville, TX, the son of Thomas and Esperanza (Rodriguez) Medina. He married Margarita Ramos in 1964. She passed away on May 20, 1999. He married Andrea Torres on April 5, 2008 in Rock Island. Tom retired as a welder from John Deere. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, bike riding, carpentry and attending his children's and grandchildren's baseball games. Survivors include his wife Andrea, his children, Christopher (Susan) Medina, Concord, CA, Daniel (Grace) Medina, Geneseo, Margarita (Jose) Garcia, Fort Wayne, IN, and Rolando Medina, Carlsbad, NM, step daughters, Betsy and Lesly Muniz, grandchildren, RJ, Tommy, Mandy, Sandy, Joey, Christopher, Celeste, Aidan, Miggi, and Nadia, great grandchildren, Jaydin, Elijah, Gabby and Milly, and siblings, Eva, Esmerelda, Lupe, Juan, Ramon, Manuel, Socorro, Raul, Israel, Jose Martin and Trina. He is preceded in death by his wife Margarita, his parents, a grandson Noah, and his brother Hector.
