Timothy J. Jackson, 53, East Moline, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Unity Point Health Systems, Rock Island. Funeral services are 7PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home ltd., East Moline. Visitation is from 4PM until service time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Unity Point Palliative Care. Tim was born July 26, 1960 in Rock Island, the son of Theodore and Elizabeth (Stauduhar) Jackson. He graduated from UTHS class of 1978 and attended Black Hawk College. He married Lauri Cullen on June 26, 1982 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Milan. He worked at various jobs at East Moline Correctional Center until his retirement in 2011. Tim was a member of Cross Point Church, Bettendorf, Iowa, where he enjoyed working in guest services and the children's ministry. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and certified scuba diver who loved vacationing with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Lauri, sons, Aaron Jackson, Moline, and Christopher Jackson, East Moline, sister Roxanne (Jeff) Turner, Durant, IA, and brothers Curt (Teresa) Jackson, and Mark (Nancy) Jackson, both of East Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Tom, who died in infancy.
