Tobin "Toby" Tornquist, 61, of East Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Tobin was born May 3, 1960, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Robert and Donna (Houston) Tornquist. He married Claudia Ann Fritch October 22, 2002. He worked for American Air Filter, McLaughlin Body and most recently with the Acri Company. Tobin enjoyed horseback riding, friends, and all the places he and Claudia traveled the last 15 years for work. Additionally, he had a special bond with his cat, Kitty Mints.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia; daughter, Meghann Tornquist (Mikey Martinez), Estes Park, CO; son, Karl Tornquist, Moline; stepson, Joseph (Rebekka) Griffith, East Moline; stepdaughter, Ashley (Jim) Armstrong, Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Emma, Macy, Ashton, Vincent, Maggie, Wesley, Sydney, James and Ava; mother, Donna Tornquist, Moline; siblings, Kari (Alan)Campbell, Vicki Tornquist (Kevin Holden), Cami (Dan) DeSmet, Kyle (Marti) Tornquist, and Ami (Marshall) Porter.

He was preceded in death by his father.
