Funeral services for Tom Brown, 81, East Moline, are 12 Noon Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Research. Tom was born August 1, 1930 in Washington, IA, the son of Marion and Irene (Stone) Brown. He married Mae Bruce on July 31, 1950. Mae died March 26, 1988. He married Arline Stulir on February 2, 1993. Mr. Brown retired in 1987 as a tool and dye maker from the former JI Case, Rock Island. Tom owned the former Club House in East Moline and the Country Spot. He and Mae had run the restaurant and bar at Golf Mohr for several years. Tom was a wonderful father and grandfather. His grandchildren lovingly referred to him as "The Claw". Survivors include his wife Arline, daughters and sons-in-law Jean and Doug Smith, East Moline, and Sherry and Ken Coverdill, Coal Valley, stepchildren and spouses, Scott and Kittie Stulir, Robinson, TX, Jeff and Tricia Stulir, East Moline and Lissa and Todd Bailey, Moline, grandchildren; Tom (Janie) Bussert, Mike (Anji) Bussert, Jon (Amber) Bussert, Jeff (Angie) Anderson, Jeremy (Sari) Anderson, Justin (Stacy) Anderson, and Sue Ella (Jed) Mathis, step grandchildren, Alyssa (Brian) Hoener, Zachary Stulir and Brett Bailey, fifteen great grandchildren and his sister Ione Giordano, Highlands, NC.
