Tommy J. "Tom" Sisson, 72, Port Byron, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. At Tom's request there will be no services. Private inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Tom was born on April 26, 1942 in Sterling, IL, the son of Lloyd and Ella (Willman) Sisson Sr. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a meat cutter from the former Eagle Grocery Chain after more than 25 years with the company. Tom loved his family, and was an avid bicyclist in his earlier years. Survivors include his siblings, Sandra (Wilson) Ackland, Rock Falls,, IL Lloyd (Margie) Sisson, Sterling, Donald (Carol) Sisson, Sterling and Richard (Geneva) Rochelle, IL, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Pat, Marylou, and Betty.
