Tony L. Plumb, 56, of Moline, IL, passed away Friday September 2, 2022 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Tony was born August 7, 1966 in Rock Island, a son of Roy "Leon" and Mary Lakner Plumb. He married Rochelle Taylor on July 12, 2014 in Cordova, IL.

He was employed for many years at McLaughlin Body Co.

Tony loved his 66' Nova Chevy II that he bought with $ 500.00 borrowed from his mom's bingo winnings. He was passionate about cars, drag racing, and anything to do with 1966. Always up for an adventure, he loved taking road trips with his wife on a whim. Tony had the chance to enjoy traveling Route 66 as a passenger to be able to soak it all in.

He loved to spend time with his son, working on cars or watching drag racing. Tony loved his family and dear friends very much, and will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are his wife, Rochelle, of Moline; son, Tony J. Plumb (fiancee, Tiffany Engler), Moline; parents, Roy "Leon" and Mary Plumb, East Moline; sister, Nicole (Steven) Jones, Gretna, NE; brother, Steve (Stacey) Plumb, Moline; nieces and nephews, Ryan Plumb, Chris Plumb, Shelby Jones and Drake Jones; and other family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and infant niece, Taylor Plumb.
