Trudy Davis, 82, Silvis, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Amber Ridge, Moline. Funeral services are 11 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church, Silvis or to the Alzheimer's Association. Florence Gertrude Wilcher was born on March 7, 1932 in Hustonville, KY, the daughter of James and Dorothy Merrit Wilcher. She married Walter Davis on December 21, 1949 in Corbin, KY. He died on August 31, 2011. Trudy was a certified beautician and cosmetician. She ran her own beauty shop for over 34 years, from her home. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting, and was a devoted member of 1st Baptist Church. Trudy was a great mom, grandma and great-grandma. Survivors include her children, Greg (Cherie) Davis, Jefferson, NC, and Paul (Cindy) Davis, Moline, grandchildren, Megan, Amanda, Greg, Melissa, Ryan and Patrick, great grandchildren, Emma, Norah, Asher, Cayden, RyLynn and Ryleigh, and her siblings, G.C. Wilcher, Georgia, J.F. Wilcher, Kentucky, Til Price, Texas, Diane Cook, Kentucky and Sandy Chandler, North Carolina. In addition to losing her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Delores and Vivian.
