Venus Roberts, 81, East Moline, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. Funeral services are 2PM Tuesday at Grace Community of the Nazarene, Colona. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is from 1PM until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Grace Community of the Nazarene where she had been a very devoted member. Venus Gibson was born on July 25, 1935 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Kirkpatrick) Gibson. She married John Roberts on January 22, 1955 in East Moline. Venus had worked as a waitress in her early years. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, John, child, Susan Roberts, East Moline, siblings; Sharon Coronell, East Moline, Shirley Kirish, Granger, IN and Jack Gibson, Glasford, IL and many nieces and nephews.
