Funeral services for Vesta Olive Holland, 93, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Holland died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, Moline, IL, where she had been a member. Vesta Carson was born December 29, 1915 in Newton, IA, the daughter of Rollin and Margaret (Ogden) Carson. She married Herbert Holland in 1950 in Moline, IL. He died October 8, 1974. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Swiatkiewicz of East Moline, Sheryl Ryker of East Moline, Candy and Dean Moyer of Cordova, IL; sons and daughter-in-law, Herbert Holland Jr. of East Moline, Scott and Debbie Holland of East Moline; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.
