Victor G. Gonzalez, 83, of East Moline, passed away Thursday July 20, 2023, at Allure of Quad Cities, Moline.

Private services will be at a later date. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care of Silvis and Moline.

Victor was born August 12, 1939, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, a son of Isabel and Severa Salinas Gonzalez. He married Mary Gloria Valladares in 1962 in Savanna, IL.

He was employed with International Harvester and Case IH for 30 years. He retired in 1993.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Moline. Victor enjoyed playing the guitar and singing at church and for friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gloria, of East Moline; children, Jesus Victor Gonzalez, East Moline, Gloria (Gabriel) Ramos, East Moline, Ricardo (Kelly) Gonzalez, Colona, Alma Linda McLean, Silvis, and SandraElizabet Gonzalez, East Moline; grandchildren, Jessica Victoria Gonzalez, Michael Anthony Ramos, Gabriel Ramos Jr., Victor Jesus Ramos, Olivia Gonzalez, Tom Gonzalez, Sarah Gonzalez, Jacob Richard (Haleigh) McLean, Mariah Victoria McLean and Isabella Victoria Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Margarrett Kay McLean, Amelia Gloria McLean, Lorenzo Jovani Rubio and Eliseo Daniel McLean; sisters, Martha Gonzalez, Monterrey, Mexico, Yolanda Martinez, Monterrey, Mexico, and Blanca Gonzalez, Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Elsa Gongora and Carmella Garcia.
