Virgil "Gene" Poling, 77, Moline, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at his home. Private family services will be held in Loraine, IL. He was born February 24, 1933 in Quincy, IL, the son of Raymond and Cordelia (Webster) Poling. Gene served in the US Air Force. He had worked construction for many years. He later worked at Sears Roebuck and then retired from John Deere. Survivors include brothers; Merlin of Loraine, IL and Robert, Hannibal, MO.
