Funeral services for Virginia Marie Ferry, 85, of Moline, IL, will be 9:30 AM Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. Mrs. Ferry died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Virginia Gaines was born August 22, 1930, in East Moline, IL, the daughter of Samuel and Germaine Popelier Gaines. She married William E. Ferry July 31, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Bill Ferry, Moline; daughter, Luann (Jack) Swan, Sherrard, IL; sons, Mike Ferry (Grace ), Davison, MI, Tim (Debbie) Ferry, Moline, and Brian Ferry, Houston, TX; 18 grandchildren; 31, great grandchildren; sister, Clare Hughes, Roscoe, IL; son-in-law, Kent Maeglin, North Port, FL; ex-daughter-in-law, Lil Rolander, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lori Maeglin; sons, William and David; great granddaughter, Adalyn Swanson. Memorials may be made to the family.
