Funeral services for Virginia Mae Guyton, 83, of Silvis, IL, formerly of Geneseo, IL, will be 11:00 am Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 9:30 am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Mrs. Guyton died Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Virginia O'Mary was born March 31, 1934, in Beaverton, AL, the daughter of William Moody and Annie Hood O'Mary. She married Raymond L.C. Guyton July 10, 1952, in Rock Island, IL. He died March 19, 1992. She worked and enjoyed her 20 years at the former Sears in Moline. She enjoyed gambling and traveling with her friends. Survivors include her son, Ray (Penny) Guyton, Moline; her grandson, Craig Guyton, Moline; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Osbon O'Mary, Ruby Gray Merchant, Grady O'Mary, Gene O'Mary, and Daniel O'Mary. A special thank you to her niece, Nancy O'Mary for all the many visits and compassionate care she had given.
