Memorial services for Virginia L. Metscaviz, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 am Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Port Byron, IL. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 at the church. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Metscaviz died Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at her home.

Virginia Lee Snider was born March 29, 1935, in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Everett and Helen Farmer Snider. She married Robert Metscaviz in 1953. Virginia loved to cross stitch, read, listen to music, and to have Friday night game night with her family. She was always up for an adventure, taking day trips to her favorite destination Bishop Hill, and local museums and state parks.

Survivors include her children, Barbara (Roger) Brandt, Port Byron, Janice (Steve) Rathburn, Cordova, IL, Stevan (Monica) Metscaviz, Geneseo, IL, and Lisa (Monte) Sonksen, Bettendorf, IA; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce Johnson; and brother, Philip (Peggy) Snider.
