Funeral services for Virginia A VanWiel, 89, East Moline, are 9:30 AM Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 4-6 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 5:30 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church. Mrs. VanWiel died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Virginia DeMeyer was born, August 7, 1917 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Desire and Magdelina Veys DeMeyer. She married Edward A VanWiel on May 6, 1939 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Virginia was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed flower gardening. Survivors include her husband of 67 years Edward, daughter Marjorie Dennison of Des Moines, IA, sons; Fr. John VanWiel of Arlington Heights, IL and Michael VanWiel of Orland Park, IL, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Her son Larry and twin sister preceded her in death.
