Funeral services for Voyne L. "Toot" Loftin, 67, East Moline, are 10 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Colona American Legion will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday. Mr. Loftin died Monday, July 25, 2005 at his home. A memorial fund has been established. Voyne was born January 30, 1938 in Thornfield, MO, the son of Delmar and Maxine (Riggs) Loftin. He married Martha "Joanne" Vroman, November 7, 1959 in Rock Island. Toot worked as a Sheet Metal Worker for Local 91 at Johnson Contracting, East Moline, retiring in 1999. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors. Mr. Loftin served in the US Army. He enjoyed gardening and observing wildlife. Survivors include his wife of 45 years Joanne, children and spouses Jeff and Ketra Loftin, East Moline and Tina and Chris Anderson, Colona, grandchildren Elizabeth, Amanda, Debra, Kyle, Brian and Tyler; great grandchildren Sydney and Bryanna; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Pat Huys, East Moline and brother and sister-in-law Jack and Jane Loftin, Dexter, MO.
