Vyonda L. White, 91, of Silvis passed away Thursday January 18, 2018 at Crosstown Square where she was a resident with her husband. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Van Hoe Funeral Home in East Moline. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM-2:00PM Tuesday prior to her service at the funeral home, where memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Vyonda was born May 19, 1926 in Smith Center, KS a daughter of William Franklin and Florence (King) Milburn. She attended local schools in Table Rock, NE and East Moline, and married Cyril White, February 15, 1942 in Kahoka, MO. She had worked for Lenox Photo in Moline retiring in 1980, and was a lifelong homemaker. She thoroughly enjoyed housework, and cleaning. In earlier years, she loved traveling with her family, baking pies and knitting afghans. She was a member of the former Christian Women's Association. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 75 years, Cyril children: Janice (Gene) Baker of Moline; Ed (Connie) White of Thomson, IL; 4 grandchildren: Greg (Karen) Peacock of Colona, Amanda (Fred) Remley of Horicon, WI, Angela (Jeff) Fenner of East Moline, Adam (Paige) White also of East Moline; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
