Funeral services for Walter Paul Teerlinck, 82, East Moline, are 10 AM Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Atkinson, IL. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. A memorial fund has been established. Mr. Teerlinck died Saturday at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Walter was born June 19, 1924 in Annawan, IL, the son of Edward and Alma (DeSutter) Teerlinck. He married Lola Mae Wirth in 1946 and together they had seven children. They later divorced. Mr. Teerlinck had worked at the former Moline Public Hospital and later retired as a custodian at Moline School District. Survivors include his partner for many years; Frances Meyer, children; Judith Teerlinck, Minneapolis, MN, Sandra Teerlinck, Kewanee, IL, Cynthia VonJones, East Moline, Randall Teerlinck, Atkinson, Christie Taber, Atkinson, and Cheryl Valentino, Woodridge, IL, eight grandchildren, sister Lavonne Davis, DeWitt, IA, brother Ralph (Jean) Teerlinck, Andover, IL, sister-in-law Marion Teerlinck, Geneseo, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Daniel and a brother Dean.
