Funeral services for Wanda Patton, 83, of Hampton, IL, will be 5:00 PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Sunset committal services will be at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Patton died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her home. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, IL. Wanda Hicks was born September 21, 1929 in Pope County, IL, the daughter of Frank and Ethel Crabb Hicks. She married Arzie Patton, November 5, 1947 in Pope County. He died February 18, 1993. She retired from Illini Hospital, Silvis, IL, in 1980 after nearly 20 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Richard) Churchill and Ruth (Bill) Kruse, both of Hampton; son, Michael (Dona) Patton, Hampton; grandchildren, Mikaela (Robert) McGeehon, Anthony (Jessica) Patton, Brad (Shannon) Churchill, Craig (Ann) Churchill, Seth Kruse (fiancee, Katee Coder), and Sean Kruse; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Donald) Barger, Golconda, IL; brother, Glenn "Bud" (Helen) Hicks, Rosiclare, IL; special niece, Gladys Payne. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter-in-law, Gretchen Kruse, and her Aunt Sybel who raised Wanda and her siblings after their mother's death.
