Wayne Robert Blette, 64, East Moline, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at his home. Funeral services are 1PM Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services at the church. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the VVA #299 will conduct military honors. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, where he was a member.

Wayne was born on November 25, 1955 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Robert and Frances Curtis. He married MaryEllen DePorter on September 11, 1993 in Jamaica. Wayne was a Payroll Tech at the Rock Island Arsenal. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in Operation Eagle Pull and Operation Frequent Wind during the Vietnam War. Wayne loved music and was an excellent guitar player. He was a St. Louis Cardinal Fan.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, MaryEllen, sister Gayle Scott, brother, Stephen Blette, MaryEllen's family and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
