Funeral services for Wayne C. Spah, 69, of Milan, IL, will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00PM Tuesday, at the funeral home. Mr. Spah died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg, IL. Memorials may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg, IL. Wayne was born June 8, 1935 in Rock Island, IL, the son of Thomas C. and Ruth E. (Frank) Spah. He married Mary Ellen Spiker, July 15, 1957 in Rock Island, IL. She died May 11, 2003. He had served in the US Army reserves. He retired from the former Montgomery Elevator, Moline, IL, where he had worked as an assembler. He was very active with the Boy Scouts of America, He enjoyed fishing and going to meet with the "Breakfast Clan" at the Milan McDonald's. Survivors include: sons, and daughter-in-law, Michael and Theresa Spah of Silvis, IL, Scott Spah of Milan, IL, Daniel (and fiancée, Ginger) Spah of Rock Island, IL, granddaughters, Amanda and Mikayla; step grandchildren, Leilania, Tyler and Taleana, special breakfast buddy, Jim Marx and Wayne's Chocolate Labrador, "Reba". He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and infant son, Robert.
