Services for Wesley Call, 95, formerly of East Moline, will be held at 1 PM Saturday, July 29, at Van Hoe Funeral Home in East Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Garden in East Moline following the service.

Visitation is from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home in East Moline before the service.

Wesley Call was born on June 6, 1928 in Wilkesboro, NC the son of George Washington Call and Bernice Pearl Gager Call. He married Lois Davis Call on September 17, 1949 Watertown Baptist Church in East Moline.

Wesley retired in 1981 from International Harvester. He started as a sheet metal worker and machinist. He was promoted to wage administrator until his retirement.

He enjoyed walking his dogs along the Hennepin Canal and listening to classical and rag time music.

Survivors include his children Dorothy {Dana} Johnson Joliet, IL and William {Alice} Call, Batavia, IL., three siblings Dale San Benito, TX, Ernest Eugene River Forest, IL and Shirley {Larry} Danielson Davenport, IA along with nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Wesley was preceded in death by his wife Lois Davis Call 2002 and his daughter Kathryn {Tom} Sollis 2022 and great granddaughter Trinidy Blow 2002, his parents George and Bernice, his siblings Jerry, Norma Cowdery, Vivian Grymonprez, Ina Pettit, Forrest and Lois Taulbee.

Wesley Homer Call lived a long full life and died of natural causes in St Charles, IL on July 22, 2023. He was happy and well-cared for at River Glen assisted living until his passing.
