Funeral services for Wilbur Horn, 79, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 1-4 PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, where a liturgy service will be held at 12:30PM. Mr. Horn died Thursday, June 08, 2006 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9956. Wilbur was born April 6, 1927 in East Moline, IL, the son of Robert and Julia (Vande Velde) Horn. He married Barbara Van Sickle in 1945. He later married Shirley Hendricks in 1955. She died March 4, 1986. He later married Mary Ann (Viscioni) Claeys in 1987. He retired in 1985 from John Deere Harvester, East Moline, IL, after 27 years of service. After retiring from John Deere, he had worked at Landuits Lake as a security Guard. Wilbur was very handy with woodworking. He was an outdoorsman who loved snowmobiling and camping. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Horn of East Moline, IL; daughters, Sandra Moraski of Kewanee, IL, Vicki Laud of Moline, IL; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Mike Polchow of Rock Island, IL, Peggy Redmann of Moline, IL, Bonny and Ken Grigsby of Moline, IL, step-son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Linda Claeys of East Moline, IL; grandchildren, Sonia Moraski, Rhonda and Pat Fuller, Heather and Doug Anderson, Ryan Polchow, Angela and Mike Barnett, Jimmy and Jeanette Redmann, Chad Redmann, Sally Jo Buchanan, Kenny Buchanan, Dawn Bogdon, Wendy and Jeremy Vercautren, Katie Murray, Daniel and Cari Claeys; several great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret and Vern Smith of Silvis, IL, Barbara Hendrix of Silvis, IL; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Josephine Horn of Silvis, Richard Horn, and Donald "Donny" Horn. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Horn and sister, Alice Horn.
