Funeral services for Wilbur C. Lundeen, of Bettendorf, IA, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Lundeen died Thursday August 3, 2017, at Iowa Masonic Health Facility, Bettendorf. Wilbur was born July 22, 1916, in Moline, IL, the son of Emile and Harriet Almquist Lundeen. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Martha Ann Thompson, October 6, 1946, in La Harp, IL. She died December 7, 1996. He retired from Canteen Service Company, Moline, after 43 years of service. Wilbur was and avid golfer and New York Yankee Fan. He was thrilled to experience the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Survivors include his children, Gerald "Jerry" (Penny) Lundeen, Bettendorf, Judy (Mike) Leffler, Moline, and Jane (Ray) Miller, Moline; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clair Lundeen, Vera Hubbs, and Lillian Lundeen. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight or the Iowa Masonic Health Facility.
