Wilbur L. "Webb" Duncan, 83, of Colona, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial with military honors presented by East Moline American Legion, Post 227, will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Wilbur was born July 15, 1939, in Cleveland, IL, a son of Jack and Lucille Stockwell Duncan. He married Janet Reeves on July 21, 1978 in Des Moines, IA. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2021.
Webb was a US Navy veteran. He worked at John Deere Harvester, East Moline, for many years.
He was a member of Colona United Methodist Church. He loved to fish at his cabin in Wisconsin, wintering in Arizona, golfing, traveling, playing cards, bike riding, and watching NASCAR. Some of his favorite times were those spent with friends and family and enjoying his grandchildren's activities.
Surviving are his children, Debra Pauline Eaton, Des Moines, IA, Michael (Lonnie) Duncan, Colona, James Duncan, Port Byron, Craig (Tina) Duncan, Colona, Dawn (Michael) Jefford-Conner, Moline, and Shawn (Becky) Jefford, DeWitt, IA; 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Wendell Duncan, Colona, and Wayne Duncan, Lancaster, WI; many nieces, nephews, and additional family.
Webb was preceded in death by his wife; granddaughter, Presley; great grandson, Cameron; parents; and one brother, Wyman Duncan.
