Willard D. Ward, 83, East Moline, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home. Funeral services are 10 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Willard was born on February 12, 1935 in Summum, IL, the son of Herman and Frances (Geiman) Ward. He married Darlene Hill in East Moline on August 22, 1953. He was a truck driver for the Teamsters local for 40 years, working for ANR Freight and Moline Consumers. Willard was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Hook and Bullet Conservation Club.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene, children; Cindy (Mike) Setser, Silvis, Lori (Tim) Simmons, East Moline and Jeffrey Ward, East Moline, grandchildren; Craig (Brenda) Kauzlarich, Shelly (Troy) Lingle, Joe (Roni) Ward, Kimberly (Joe) Dominguez, Jason Van De Voorde, Kristine (Thad) Byer, Justin Ward, Joey (Amber) Ward, Josh (Kristyn) Van De Voorde, Brittany (Jonathan) Quinn and Crystal Ward, a host of great grandchildren and a sister Lois Stawicki, East Moline.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Barb Smith, daughter, Debra Brzostowski, and son, Michael Ward.
