William G. "Bill" Park , 87, of Silvis, IL, passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025 at New Perspectives, Silvis, IL.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28th, at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to services. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Food Pantry.

William was born to Bill and Isabel (Isles) Park in Brown City, Michigan on August 28, 1937. After graduating from Brown City High School in 1955, Bill attended Flint Junior College and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1960 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He moved to Illinois to work for the Rock Island Arsenal. Bill married Doris Homan on April 12, 1969 in East Moline. He continued his education, receiving his Master's degree from the University of Iowa in 1972.

Bill was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. He was past president of the congregation, and served as head elder in excess of two decades. His faith and family were very important in his life. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

He enjoyed traveling during his career and with family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Margery Park, Moline; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Paul Halter, Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Molly Park, Maxwell Park, Ezra Halter, Griffin Park, and Ruby Halter; sister, Carolyn LaPrade, Prudenville, MI; numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean; son, Robbie Park; parents, Bill and Isabel; and three brothers, Jack Park, Raymond Park, and Robert Park.
