William E. "Bill" Durham, 72 of Alpha, IL, died July 4, 2009 at Trinity Regional Health Systems, Rock Island. A memorial visitation is 4-7PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private family committal will be held at a later date. At Bill's request his body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. He was born February 9, 1937, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Vern and Jenny (Tady) Durham. He married Judy (Goderis) Walton, on July 17, 1976 in Rock Island. Bill retired as a machinist from SMS Millcraft in Muscatine, IA. Survivors include his wife Judy, children: William J. Durham, Davenport, Angela Smith, Davenport, Tammy Heinz, Jacksonville, FL, and Sam Walton, Spokane, WA and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
