Obituary

Funeral services for William F. "Bill" Feehan Jr., 74, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church East Moline, IL. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM, Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, where a Liturgy service will be held at 7:00PM. Mr. Feehan went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 11, 2006. He was surrounded by his family at Rosewood Health Care Center, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, Beacon of Hope Hospice. Bill was born July 12, 1931 in East Moline, IL, the son of William and Josephine (Scieszinski) Feehan Sr. He married Dorothy M. "Dottie" Hoon April 14, 1956 in East Moline, IL. She died November 5, 1987. He later married Dorothy A. "Doe" (Crumley) Donaldson July 13, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV. He was stationed in Korea while serving in the US Army during the Korean War. He began his career working in the construction trade for many years before his retirement from John Deere Harvester Works in 1992 after 19 years of service. Bill was an avid sports fan and loved being outside. His favorite teams included: the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls, The Fighting Illini and all United Township High School sports. He played basketball and softball all his life including playing in the 50+ Softball League. His wit and humor will be long remembered. He was a member of the Father Pro Men's Society at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Silvis, IL, VFW Post 2056 East Moline and UAW local 865. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Feehan of East Moline, IL; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Ray Bybee of East Moline, IL, Dianne and Tim Hoyt of Moline, IL, Carole and Pat Impens of East Moline, IL; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mark Whitney of Silvis, IL, Laurie Weston of East Moline, IL, Nancy and John Pitsenbarger of Marseilles, IL; stepson and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Deb Donaldson of East Moline, IL; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jo and Don Ziegler of East Moline, IL; Pat and John Hornick of East Moline, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Nancy Feehan of Silvis, IL. He is preceded in death by parents and wife, Dottie Feehan.
