Funeral services for William "Bil" Ford Jr., 85, of Geneseo, IL, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 10 AM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Mr Ford passed away Thursday October 5, 2023, at Genesis East, Davenport, IA.

Bil was born November 9, 1937, in Detroit MI, the son of William and Opal Henderson Ford Sr. He served in the US Army 8th Armored Victory Division Company C 81st Medium Tank Battalion, where he was stationed in Japan. He married Nancy J. Lincke November 21, 1958, in Rock Island, IL. She passed away June 13, 2009. Bill was a graduate of the FBI Academy. He retired as a Lieutenant from the East Moline Police Department. He later became a Realtor and sold real estate in Arizona with his wife.

Survivors include his children, Steve Ford, East Moline and Kellie Van Meter-Thiel (Philip Thiel), Cary, IL; grandchildren, Shannon, Brandon, Joann Jean, and Travis; great grandchildren, Ashley Marie and Aurora; and his sister, Ruth Ford, Moline.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, children, Darbey and Terrie (twins), and Colleen Ford; and sister, Dorothy.
