William "'Bill" Guthrie, 78, of East Moline, IL died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Aspen Health and Rehab Center, Silvis, IL. Memorial services will be 6:00PM Monday at the First Christian Church, East Moline. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services at the church. Bill and his twin brother, Hartley, were born March 20, 1933, the sons of Hartley and LuLu Belle Parr Guthrie, on a houseboat on the Mississippi River in Rock Island County. He married Carol Sue "Suzie" Miller August 1, 1970 in Rock Island. He had been a LPN, working in various nursing homes in the Jacksonville, IL and Quad City area. He enjoyed writing poetry and going to In Touch. Survivors include his wife, Suzie Guthrie of East Moline; son, Robert Delre of Ellis Grove, IL; daughter, Deborah Ader of Rock Island; grandchildren, Amanda Doty and Dustin Ader; brother, Hartley (Mary Ann) Guthrie of Moline.
