William "Bill" Christensen, 75, East Moline, died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral services are 11 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Bill was born on September 20, 1937 in Moline, the son of William and Mary (DeClerck) Christensen Sr. He married Carol Anderson on September 10, 1960 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. He retired from Valspar Paint after 33 years of paint making. He enjoyed NASCAR, golfing, fishing, being with family and friends and especially when the little ones were around. Survivors include his wife Carol, sons, Raymond Christensen (Fabiola), Port Byron, Rodney (Katherine) Christensen, Silvis and Russell Christensen (Susan), Moline, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a brother George (Gail) Christensen, Hampton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandra and brother Richard.
