William E. Norris Jr., 93, of Colona, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Mercy One Genesis, Illini.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with services.

William was born on July 12, 1931, in Evansville, IN, the son of William and Esther Norris Sr.  He married Maureen Miller on August 4, 1951, she preceded him in death.  William was a proud veteran serving in the US Navy.  He retired from the East Moline Fire Department after 20 years of service.  William enjoyed watching NASCAR, working on cars and electronics, collecting antique model cars, and going to yard sales with his wife.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

William is survived by his children, Debra (Donald) Boisvert, Florida, David Norris, East Moline, Linda Norris, Moline, and Michael (Lisa) Norris, Davenport; 7 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
