Funeral services for William "Arnol" Williams, 78, Rock Island are 10AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Mr. Williams died Friday, April 22, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. He was born August 28, 1926 in Sulligent, Alabama, the son of Louis and Mamie (Canterbury) Williams. He married Frances Roach, December 24, 1968 in Vernon Alabama. Arnol retired from the former International Harvester-Farmall, Rock Island. Mr. Williams loved his family and had a special place in his heart for kids. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed playing shuffleboard, gardening, fishing and listening to music. He liked watching golf on TV and loved cats. Survivors include his wife Frances, daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Les Buell, Marietta, GA, step children Sandy Nelson, Port Byron, Judy Anderson, Pleasant Lake, Michigan and Glynn Roach, Silvis, grandchildren Colby Buell and Ramsey (Heather) Buell, Atlanta, GA, Glynn Roach Jr., Mike Nelson and Kim Clark, numerous great grandchildren and he was expecting his special great grandchild on May 19th, sisters and brothers-in-law Ida and Earl Newton, Aledo, Nettie and Bob Ingvall, Moline, and Betty and Dee Morris, Aberdeen, Mississippi, and his special extended family Larry, Holly, Leah and Jennifer Mickle of Rock Island, and a sister-in-law Jo Rea (Ira) Williams.
