Willie Joe Dixon Sr., 62, Davenport, passed away on June 10, 2015 at Unity Point-Trinity, Bettendorf. Funeral services are 1:30 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Inurnment will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. A memorial fund has been established. Willie was born on August 9, 1952 in Louisville, Mississippi, the son of Bud Zachary and Hermice (Cooper) Dixon. He had worked for Frank's Foundry and later owned an auto mechanic shop with is son. Those to mourn his passing are his life partner, Leona Robertson-Dixon, children; Denese Jordan, Angie Dixon, Joseph Dixon, William Zachary Dixon, Felicia Stinde, Tracy Stinde, Janina Burns, Joshua Lee Dixon, Jeremiah Dixon and Elijah Waddington, siblings, Katie Hicks, Adelle Jones, Will Dixon, Roberta Davis, Judy Payne, Ruthie Dixon and Georgia Ann Dixon-Scott, 26 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Willie Joe Dixon Jr.
