Wilma M. Dzekunskas, 95, Moline, passed away at the home of her niece in Wausau, WI on Saturday March 5, 2016. Funeral services are 6PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home ltd, East Moline. Visitation is from 4PM until service time. Private inurnment will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established. Wilma Cooper was born on October 5, 1920 in Galt, MO, the daughter of Oral and Ida (Sims) Cooper. She married Joe Hoke in 1943. She married Joseph Dzekunskas, and he preceded her in death. Wilma had worked as a key punch operator for Caterpillar. Wilma was an avid bowler for over 58 years. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Bohannon, Silvis; step children, James (Pat) Dzekunskas, Victor (Terry) Dzekunksas, Gary (Sandy) Dzekunskas, Anita (Don) Senn, Bev (Paul) Demeurisse, Maritta (James) Anderson, Mary (Otto) Breitmeyer and Cheryl Dzekunskas, 2 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren; and her brother, Lindy Cooper, Rock Island. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Maxine, Jean, and Patricia.
