Wilma I. Hayes, 93, East Moline, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Illini Hospital, Silvis. Funeral services are 10 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 3-6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley. Wilma Elston was born July 17, 1925 in Industry, IL, the daughter of Louis E. and Ruth (Osborn) Elston. She married Henry Timbrook on March 29, 1944, and worked for the Rock Island Arsenal while he served in the war. She later served as city clerk in Green Rock and retired from Desaulnier's. Henry passed away on June 11, 1984. She married Dale Hayes on July 17, 1986. He died March 25, 2012. She was a skilled quilter and enjoyed gardening and canning. Wilma enjoyed the many friendships she fostered while living at Park Vista. Survivors include her children, Peggy (Larry) Hufford, Hillsdale, Yvonne (Richard) Stauffer, Chicago, Louise (Doug) Shattuck, Bloomington and Henry (Shirley) Timbrook Jr., Colona, nine grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, and brother, Ralph (Barbara) Elston, Boise, ID. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, son Roy Timbrook, grandson, Tim Timbrook and great grandson, Jacob Timbrook.
